Unflattering Pleats
When a pleated skirt is made correctly, it drapes in a flattering way over hips and the stomach. This skirt’s pleats are sewn in a way that adds fabric to the stomach and hip area, making me look much wider. I really wanted this to work because the print was so cool. It’s also made in China, which I was not expecting at this price point, and the cheap zipper shows. It runs slightly small; I’m usually a 6, but had I gone up to an 8, the fabric would have looked even baggier. Returning.
