City Triclimate 3-in-1 Jacket

I ordered the jacket for a business trip, and unfortunately, I did not get to use the jacket. The cut of the jacket was, unfortunately a bit tent-like at the bottom instead of being taperd to the waist. Since the fit didn't work, I chose to return it. Some options for the next iteration of this, which I would buy. 1) Tapering to the waist instead of a straight drop 2) Barring the taper, why not include interior elastic drawcord and cordlocks to taper the jacket 3) Have the inner vest actually attach to the jacket along the button line, instead of only by the collar clip. Other North Face shells and inner fleeces are able to be connected/zipped, why were this inner vest and outer jacket not designed to be able to do so. North Face makes good kit, this one just fell short for my requirements.
