not made-well for big butts
I don’t even know how to describe the fit, so I’ll just start with my measurements- 25.5 waist and 38.5 hips. Tried to split the difference (size 26), with egregious results. My legs are pretty slender but athletic, and it was squeezing my quads and butt, and too wide on the waist and calves. Overall very uncomfortable and unflattering on me, and no forgiveness for a larger behind. Total shame because the jeans are a beautiful color and material, and actually smelled kind of nice coming out of the bag. For ladies with more even measurements, I would recommend, but for anyone with an hourglass or pear shape- steer clear.

Button Fly!!!
These Madewell jeans unfortunately have to go back as they are too tight and stiff. I'm usually a size 27, yet since they are 100% cotton without elastane they are too tight in the thigh and in the butt. Too bad because the color is a deep blue and they have a button Fly closure which is rare in womens jeans.
