The Prescott Western Boot

I am extremely disappointed with the condition of the cowboy boots I received from Nordstrom Rack. These boots were delivered with a visible crack/separation in the bottom of the heel, as clearly shown in the attached photographs. Quite honestly, I am shocked that a pair of boots in this condition passed your quality-control inspection and was shipped to a customer. This is not a minor cosmetic issue it is a defect that affects the quality, durability, and potentially the safety of the boots. Someone should have caught this before these boots ever left the warehouse. It gives me serious concerns about the quality-control process and whether the merchandise is actually being inspected before it is sent to customers. I purchased these boots expecting a new, properly manufactured product not something that arrives damaged or defective right out of the box. This has also caused me the inconvenience of having to spend additional time dealing with a problem that should never have occurred. I would like Nordstrom Rack to make this situation right, including a full refund or replacement and consideration for additional compensation for the inconvenience caused by receiving a defective product. I have attached photographs clearly documenting the defect. I expect this matter to be taken seriously and would appreciate a prompt response explaining how Nordstrom Rack intends to resolve it.
