Very poor fit

The straps are not adjustable and the bust area comes up high (too far above the bustline). It is stretchy but overall runs very big. There’s gapping along the sides of bust area and dress does not even touch my waistline. I’m confused on what they modeled the sizing after. Purchased a SM. I’m 5’4, 26, 34C for reference.
