Cargo Ribbed Cardigan

I have been on the search for an easy to wear tan cardigan for some time and this one was nearly perfect. I wasn’t sure how the fabric would look because of the stripes and the 2 tones, but opted to size down to an XS based on reviews on the Staud website and I am glad. The tan/black stripes are actually very flattering and visually cinch the waist. The material is super silky soft with a nice stretch and feels very luxe. It drapes nicely over the shoulders, hangs nicely when left open but also buttons up and looks very clean either worn as a top or over a tank. The length is just subtly cropped and hits perfectly for a petite frame. I would note that it may not be the most flattering design if you plan to wear over thicken layers or if you have a very curvy shape as the vertical lines may accentuate curves in a less ideal way. The only thing that would make this cardigan better is if Staud made it monotone and in a slightly lighter beige shade - the tan is lovely but perhaps a bit autumnal for spring or summer!

I saw this on tv and really liked it so I decided to order it. It looks particularly good with black pants or jeans. I think it runs big and looks too large on the model pictured on the website. After checking the Staud size guide on their site, see below (hope it stays in the format it was in when I submitted this) I decided to order a small and an extra small. I tend to like my clothes more fitted and am not a fan of the oversized look. I liked the extra small better for two reasons. It was not as low cut in front and the black showed up more since it was a slightly smaller fit. There is a lot of stretch to this garment. The care tag said hand wash or dry clean and I hand washed it and laid flat to dry without any issues.
