Weak design. Broke in about 6 weeks.
The hinge on the lid is very weak and it broke after about 6 weeks of regular use. Because of the way it's designed, the bottle can't be used at all with a broken lid. Now it's just garbage.

Doesn't keep hot for 18 hours.
Tested this out with fresh brewed coffee. Was scalding hot when it went in at 7:30pm. By 7:30am, it was only lukewarm. Adding a splash of cream to a freshly poured mug of it made it ice cold.
So hot temperatures dissipate slowly, but steadily, and it doesn't retain heat nearly as long as advertised. It'll almost certainly be at room temp in another 6 hours when the 18 hours they claim is up.

Fragile lid
Overall, this is a decent growler. It kept my ice water cold for 18 holes of golf and was great for road trips. However, one day, the growler fell from about 18" and the lid broke off. One of the two plastic arms that connects the cap to the lid broke off, and now the growler is completely useless. I have searched far and wide and I don't see any type of replacement lid for this growler. I'd buy it again if 1) the lid were more durable, and/or 2) Stanley sold replacement lids for when this happens again (which it likely will).
