Easy to use, easy to clean
I’m quite fond of this compact pour-over setup. It’s user-friendly without a filter, but it can drain relatively quickly. Therefore, it takes a few attempts to achieve the optimal water amount and prevent overflowing the mug. The mug itself is undoubtedly my favorite camping mug. Its cover remains securely in place and doesn’t obstruct anything during use.

Great Mug, Awful Coffee Maker
Received this as a gift and it's great in theory: indestructible, reasonably lightweight, no paper filters. In practice, the central metal filter binds up quickly on even coarsely-ground coffee, it's so much bulkier than it needs to be, and while it's easy to take apart and clean in a dishwasher if you're outdoors without access to limitless clean water it is much harder to clean than necessary. Get the mug from Stanley but get your coffee maker from an actual coffee company.

Worked great
Used it for the first time this morning and it worked as intended. Much better coffee than what I usually end up with when traveling. Very grateful to have.

Great idea, very poor execution.
Very possibly one of the worst designs I have ever seen. The filtration point for the coffee is higher that where the coffee flows into the mug. You continuously get weak coffee until you get overly strong coffee when you put enough coffee that allows coffee filtration through the full French brew process. Secondly the porting in the filter is very large so again, it is very inconsistent. I would highly not recommend.

Compost
By the way: used coffee grounds make valuable compost material. Plants love the stuff, especially most acid-loving plants--the grounds are valuable recycling stuff. We prefer pour over as it prevents those tiny capsules polluting land fills.

Obtained this product. Have a store for special coffee bean grinders (M).
It does take time to do it correctly; however, this product worth time. Nice product.
Need really fresh coffee.
Use 1/2 creamer. Really like cup lid. Recommend.
Makes great gift too
