Perfect shoes - until the seams tore after 1 week!
Loved these shoes - fit great, true to size, super comfortable, and nice and warm. I was so excited to have found such a great winter boot - UNTIL the seam in the front of the shoes started to rip after only 1 week! I'll be returning and am so bummed about the quality!

Winter boots with side zipper
I have three pairs of Sorel snow boots—two ankle boots and one knee-high pair. I like them all, but they’re very hard to put on and take off. So I decided to buy a new pair of snow boots with a side zipper, and I found these Spyder boots. First of all, the price is right ($45) for non-fancy winter boots but with good insulation. Secondly, the heels are high enough to walk on snowy Chicago streets, so my feet don’t get cold. I’m very pleased with these boots.

not waterproof
Sadly I have to return these because they are NOT waterproof. My socks were soaked after wearing these in grass that has been wet from rain. So cute though

The warmest...
I bought these less than a week before I left for snow covered NYC. These are the ONLY shoes/boot that I ever bought, wearing straight out of the box. I walked 8 to 10 miles each day for 5 days enduring lots of slush, ice, rain and snow. These boots were so warm, snugglely and very comfortable on my feet. Bonus: very easy to take on/off! Highly recommend:)
