In Love with a Boot
Wow. It's been 20 minutes and I almost refuse to take them off... and I'm just in my house—a wonderful, wonderful boot. Insanely comfortable. Not a bulky wide toe. Coming from someone with a wider foot, they fit just right.
To the people complaining about the eyelet... how hard/tight are you tying your boots? Unless you're embarking on a military ruck march, there is no reason to tie them like they are boots explicitly designed for ankle support. It's a fashionable combat style boot, not a military boot. You shouldn't even tie the top eyelet. One loose loop around the second eyelet, then a simple [not overly tight] knot, and you're good to go.
I will say, they are darker than anticipated (i.e., they're more of a 'darker brown sand' than a 'lighter beach sand' color.) They appear lighter in the product photos, but the image next to the review I am currently leaving is more accurate in terms of the actual boot. Although I love the boot so much, I wish both colors were available.
Either way, to my new boots... welcome home!

Bad delivery experience
Product seems ok, I like it, fits quite well.
Yet, I have to give it one star for terrible delivery experience.
Package was delivered to the back door, no idea why, thank to a neighbor I was able to find it.
Back door is small, hidden, doesn't even display building's number.
Terrible idea.

I was excited to get these and then...
My first time ordering Sorrel boots. I read reviews and thought these are awesome. Size 14 is sometimes hard to come by in boots. When the box was delivered, it wasn't sealed/closed up correctly. I didnt even open it up to my purchase. I am returning these boots immediately. I am so dissapointed in the experience. When I get my refund I am closing my nordstrom account. Worst experience ever. With porch pirates running amuck. My package could've been easily stolen. Thanks so much!
