6 kids fit me and I am 8 and a half or 9 Women
I was so confused when these just arrived, they looked massive, massive enough I put my foot in there. I wear 8.5-9 in women’s, I bought these for my 10 year old daughter, she wears 5.5 in big kids sizes, I fit my foot inside and it wasn’t even tight, so it will definitely be way to big for my daughter. I put a picture next to my 8.5 Nike adult woman size shoe.

Adorable and Comfy
I wear a ladies 7.5, and the big kid 6 fits perfectly! I even put in a slim/half orthotic (which is not needed for these boots …I have had foot surgery and need them for my own issue in all of my footwear) and a climate sock. Also, my orthotic doesn’t add bulk or change my shoe size, so please don’t think you need to size down. lol. If you wear a 7.5 ladies, these big kid 6 shoes will absolutely fit correctly! The Sorel brand (in all styles I tired) feel very high quality! I thought the kids might be less quality (they are often less in other brands), but these feel fabulous!! I compared (one on each foot) to another brand made to “go walk.” The comfort was literally a toss up! …but these green Sorels are absolutely adorable!! If I lived in a cold climate, I’d order more colors! It has snowed 3 times in 20 years where I live, though. lol
