Classic Duchess Blazer

I am a size 4 or 6 but in Smythe, I always wear a size 8 blazer. I tried on the size 6 in the store and it fit perfectly but I couldn't come close to securing the button. It's a size smaller in the waist then the rest of the jacket. Frustrating! This is a beautiful, timeless blazer with flare, especially the design in the back. I ordered it in a size 8 and hopefully it will fit well. As most everyone comments, the waist is a size smaller than the jacket.

This is a gorgeous stylish blazer. It does run small as others mentioned. I bought the navy in size 2. The shoulders are snug and I need to pull the jacket together in order to close the button. Also it arrived with some threading hanging out from the button. This blazer looks great with a variety of jean styles. The wool is lighter in weight than other Smythe jackets - still perfect for cool autumn nights!

I love this blazer so much that I bought a second one as a back up 2 weeks later. I brought it with me for an overseas trip immediately after I received it. It traveled well, didn’t get wrinkled. I can even wear it in a humid climate and still felt very comfortable. Size up 2 sizes based on reviews I read and it fits perfectly. Normally I wear size 2 (occasional size 0) for coats. I ordered a size 6 and it was perfect. Excellent for work or weekend. Please don’t ever stop making this blazer. I don’t think I ever wrote a review for clothing items, but this piece is so classic and amazing. I hope I can always get a replacement whenever I need to.

This is such a beautiful jacket, both in design and construction. I'm normally a size 4 or 6 in most jackets and sized up to an 8 since I knew this ran small. The shoulders fit perfectly but the sleeves were a little too long and the waist was just simply too small. Even though I never button my jackets, it just looked too snug so I returned it. If the waist was just a little big bigger, I would have definitely kept it and invested in getting the sleeves shortened because I absolutely love the design and Army green color. Very disappointing this isn't cut for the average size woman.

This is the second blazer I own in this style, I have it in black and now the army color. It’s definitely a splurge purchase but the quality of the design and style make it worth the price. Like most of the comments, I agree it runs small. My arms and shoulders are broad so even with going up one size, there is a slight tightness in my upper arm area. The button closes but it’s snug but I don’t typically button my blazers. By pure luck, the army blazer arrived the day I was celebrating my birthday. I wore it with jeans, a silk cami, and loafers. It can certainly be dressed up for work with slacks or over a dress. Overall this is a nice piece I’m my wardrobe. It’s pretty lightweight which makes it easy to wear year round. Makes me feel put together.
