It’s worth it

I purchased this coat to help me get through the rainy season as a healthcare worker. I work in home health. It does its job. It’s warm, comfy and I love the length on this. If it wasn’t so expensive I’d buy another one but in blue. I decided on the black one. I’ll be taking this with me to Scotland this winter as well. Can’t wait to try it out there. I’ve also received a ton of compliments. I tend to keep my items >10 years so I buy for quality. No regrets here.

NOT WATERPROOF !

I needed a coat for winter travel to Poland and Prague. Yes, I was asking it to fill a lot of needs, warmth, not bulky, classic style, and waterproof! This coat met most of those needs, but it is NOT waterproof! That made for very miserable touring on a cold rainy day, as I ended up wet to the bone and shivering. If I hadn’t needed that feature, and it wasn’t so definitively proclaimed, I would give it 5 stars because it met my other requirements nicely!

Stylish, warm raincoat

I really like this coat, which I bought as a replacement for my old Eddie Bauer Girl on the Go insulated raincoat -- a great piece for cool, wet conditions. I often visit the Pacific Northwest in fall/winter/spring, and am going to Paris in June, so this will be good for all those scenarios. The A-line cut is cute, and I like the bergamot color, which is a cool maroon. I tried the Aran color as well, but it reads more like a yellowy beige, which I did not like. Will have to see how it performs in the rain.

Functional Elegance

I’ve been eyeing this coat for a few months and finally pulled the trigger and am thrilled I did. It was a splurge for me but elegant lines on an insulated raincoat is just not something to find often. The coat is warm without being bulky. The warm fuzzy vest built into the coat liner and collar make a scarf optional in my opinion. Fuzzy pocket liners too! Standing at the bus stop in the window this morning at 35F I never imagined I would be so comfortable. Im 5’7” 145lbs and can comfortably wear a mid weight sweater under size 10. Yup, that’s right, it does all that and can fit proper seasonal wear under it.

tight through the chest

Very warm and keeps me dry, but it’s quite tight through the chest and shoulders. I sized up two sizes from my normal size, hopeful it would be roomy and comfortable. It fits like a women’s ski/snowboard jacket. Upside is it gives you some shape? Downside is it’s quite restrictive with movement. I find I rarely wear it because of the fit, even though it’s perfect for the PNW.

Beautiful - Order one size up

Based on other reviews I ordered one size up, both for shoulder room and sweater bulk. Lots of well placed pockets, adjustable wrists and waists and fleece lining only on upper area. If you’re on the fence due to cost, take the leap.

Beautifully made but shoulders too small

I really want to wear this but it just doesn't fit. The shoulder area is tight and I was only wearing a thin cotton tee when I tried it on when it arrived, and I have narrow shoulders. I'm tall and my arms are long but the sleeves are a bit too long so I can't go up a size to get more shoulder space. The coat itself is gorgeous and great quality but, sadly, I have to return it. It's a wonderful raincoat if it fits you!

3 hours of trick or treating in Seattle downpour

I got this coat and took it trick or treating with my kid in 3 hours of Seattle freezing pouring rain for its first outing. I was not even damp. It is the only raincoat I have ever had that didn’t start to seep eventually. I didn’t know the brand so I was hesitant about the price point and I almost returned it due to the bright zippers, so glad I didn’t. I followed the advice of other reviewers and sized up for arm/ shoulder space and I am very glad I did. Best ever!

Love the styling

First purchase of this brand. Seems to be well made, as it should based on the price. A bit overpriced, in my opinion. Nevertheless, it’s a stylish coat for the wet, cold weather. For me, it runs a little small in the shoulders. A little tight if I were to give someone a hug with it on, for example. I tried it on with an oversized sweatshirt. I purchased a size 8 US and shall be sizing up to the 10 US and getting the olive colored one, probably elsewhere since it is not currently available at Nordstrom.

Fantastic Features

I love so many things about this coat. The two-way zipper is in a contrasting color which is fun. The outside pockets are roomy and have zippers which is great for safety of items. There are also two inside pockets - one flap pocket at the thigh area and one zipper pocket any the chest. The lining of the sleeves is also in a contrasting color and it is easy to slip arms through the sleeves. The lining is fuzzy and cozy. The coat is waterproof with taped seams. So many great features. Unfortunately, it is a little too bulky for me. I wish there could be all the details but a bit sleeker more fitted design.
