Single Breasted Tweed Coat

For reference, I'm 5'4, 140 pounds, 29" waist, and generally wear size 6-8 with most brands. I ordered a size 6 and it fits like a glove. The length is perfect for my height, the sleeves hit just below wrists, and the overall fit is perfect. The material is thick and soft, and not itchy at all. The gold button details on the front definitely adds a level of sophistication. There are black buttons that allow for full closure of the coat. Although the buttons are plastic, this characteristic leaves me unbothered and does not take away from the beauty of the coat. The coat will compliment nearly all semi-formal outfits and events and will be ideal to wear in the fall and winter. This timeless piece will be a perfect add to my wardrobe; and with the Nordstrom Anniversary price, it is definitely not a coat to miss out on. Happy shopping!

I was excited about this coat. Then it arrived...first the plaid is rather bland...the gold buttons are cute, but the thick placket makes it hard to button the plastic (hidden buttons). The fabric felt...plastic...too synthetic for my liking. The fixed waistband did fall where it belongs on me (I'm 5'9") which never happens, but the sleeves were about 1/2" too short. Sorry to say, it's going back.
