manufacture error?
It seems quite durable and firm but the entrance part of the shoe fits quite oddly that it bruised the front part of my medial malleolus. I don't know how it will fit after breaking in.
My biggest complaint is with the shoelaces. My left pair is okay but the right one (left in the photo) has a manufacturing error. The rubber cap that should stay in the middle is stuck on one side. I tried to adjust it by balancing out the shoelace portion but a part of the shoelace is GLUED to the surface inside and won't allow me to move it. I checked if the other one also had the shoelace fixed but it wasn't and I was able to move it however I wanted. It seems like the right pair is the one not working properly.
I loved the sleek design of the shoe but the overall quality is quite disappointing.

Love this Brand
I’ve always been a huge fan of Salomon for trail running. My last pair which was 1 or 2 models before this in 2019 was miserable. It didn’t grip rocks well when going over water streams and I would constantly roll my ankle. I tried to return them to REI, which at the time I didn’t have the receipt, so it was impossible and I was stuck with him. Anyhow, I can already feel that this pair feels much more sturdy for my ankles and a great grip. Super durable, true to size, and just a very mild narrow width, but works well without hurting my feet!! Highly recommend!

Not the same size as my other Salomon shoes
I have another pair of Salomon in the same style that fit perfect, however these seem to be half size smaller than my other ones. I’m usually a size 9 women’s but bought size 8,5 women’s like my other ones, but these shoes are more true to size, so I would go for your normal size.

Comfortable
The XT Wings are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. I’m onto my second pair and will not hesitate to purchase more in the future.
In my opinion these shoes fit true to size and are a little wider than the popular XT6 and similar to the XT4 models. I love the stealthy look of the triple black colourway that allows me to wear these with any type of outfits without having to match colours. The XT Wings are versatile enough whether I’m hiking/camping, out casually and even business casual.
The Salomon quick lace system is second to none and is so convenient. The fabric is very sturdy and robust which makes them a little warmer in hotter temps. The tread is long lasting and has great grip and stability in hiking and trail running environments. The Ortholite insoles included on many models are very comfortable. Durability is not an issue with these shoes.
