Edie Large Leather Top Handle Satchel

I bought the black one and the size is perfect. I like that it has 2 main compartments so plenty of room for all items I like to carry in my bag. I have 1 star down is because I wished there were pulled more small pockets inside, one with zipper would be awesome. So it got me thinking if I should keep it or return it, still debating about it. The handle/strap over the shoulder is great I don’t have any complains about the size and length. So overall a nice looking bag. I love Rebecca Minkoffs bags.

I really like this bag and saw that it was in the NSALE a second year in a row so I have it at home in black and am still trying to figure out if it will work for me. I love the shape of the bag and the quilting. I also love how it has a detachable long strap so I can hold it by the short strap for a more formal event. The cross body strap is good for travel. I am not gentle on my bags so I tend to stuff a water bottle inside, snacks, makeup and files of papers, a kindle etc. I am curious if the kindle will fit as I haven’t tried it yet. I also haven’t figured out a water bottle size that will fit. The bottom on the open side is so spacious my cell can lay flat in there. I could fit a full sized wallet in the zippered part but decided to size down to a card case with cash folded in half because it was kind of annoying to get a full size wallet in and out. The black out on the metal is glossy and thick so I really like it so I can wear any kind of metal for jewelry. It seems like a well designed bag. In the front area that only snaps closed I could fit a pretty big clear makeup bag that zips closed so that is my solution for that front area not being able to be zipped closed. I just wish it had feet. There is another RM bag with the feet and the croc look I wish I had seen at the same time because I might like that one better. The leather on this bag is not soft but it looks like it will wear well for me. I usually wear a tote so I am trying to figure out how to minimize to use a bag this size to look more pit together. It looks polished, lady like and subdued without obvious logos. I really am sick on this hardware RM used though. Like why do I want a dog leash attachment on the front of my purse? It seems a bit odd but since it is black on black it doesn’t bother me as much. If I could remove it easily I would though because it doesn’t add anything in my opinion. I am considering covering the hardware with a high end charm or just wearing it backwards and adding a twilly to the short handle to make it have a little more personality and because I like the feel of silk or suede over highly coated leather on a handle. The shape of the bag to me mimics the extremely high end bags so I think that hits the right note with its silhouette. The zipper pull is really big and glossy black which I love it feels so nice. A little confused why the zipper itself isn’t blacked out but you can’t see it unless you really look. I feel like it is not the most flattering on me because it juts out so much at the widest part of my body when carried on the long strap. So I would carry it mostly by the handle. I think this is a workhorse bag I can wear to work, take to dinner, wear it to a formal event, for a day of errands and feel comfortable stuffing it under an airplane seat without things rolling out of it the way I set it up.

Ok so I think this bag is super cute ! I just have two issues …I think it could be a little more roomy , and my main thing is that I wish the chain strap was longer so it wouldn’t look odd wearing it as a cross body . Overall I won’t return the bag because it looks super nice and feels high quality
