Hallie Smocked Bodice Cotton & Silk Maxi Sundress

I wanted to write a review because my experience didn’t match the two reviews I read. I am 5’9” - 130 - 34C I normally wear a Small-Medium in summer dresses. I tried on a small and or fit perfectly however I opted for the x-small because the dress can be worn without the straps. I wanted the bodice area to be a bit tighter to hold the dress in place, which worked perfectly! It’s not too tight that it’s at all uncomfortable. It’s perfectly snug to stay in place and can be dressed up or down. The fabric is amazing and looks it!

Ran a bit small on me. The smocked chest and very thin spaghetti straps were tight to the point that it made “fat pockets”around armpits. If you have a bust (I’m 34C, 5’6” 125 lbs) and broad shoulders, I would suggest going up a size. Says size small fits 2-4, but the medium 6-8 was less tight around the top part on me. (If you have flatter chest, small would probably work.) This fabric is absolutely beautiful, a lovely subtle print of cream and navy, the perfect combo of the softest 70% cotton and 30% silk. This is a go-to summer dress that can be dressed up with heels and a shawl or cardigan, and down with flat sandals.
