Conflicted
Okay, so the print is gorgeous. Literally looks like a Matisse. I’m a very pale person (Dutch heritage) and I do think it looks better on the model. Anyway, I ordered my usual size, but due to my sensory issues and proclivity for hot flashes, I feel like I cannot handle the fact that the dress is not stretchy and I feel like the elastic around the arms is going to bother me, even though they aren’t too tight, per se. Also, the chest is tight. (I’m a 44D and I got the 18.) I’m probably going to try sizing up and see if I like it better. I don’t know though because I don’t love anything non-stretchy that I have to pull over my head. It can get a little claustrophobic. There’s also a slip under the skirt and it’s rather thick and not breathable (but that part does stretch). The bodice is lined with an off-white cotton so the dress looks very expensive. All that being said, I’m a teacher and I feel like this is the quintessential teacher dress - makes me feel like The Frizz:):):) This sounds crazy, but I may remove the slip and remove the elastic from the sleeves (after ordering the larger size).
