Embellished Chiffon Gown

I read previous reviews that said the dress runs large and I’m in between a size 8 and 10. I got the 8 and felt that it fit tight and clingy and showed too many bulges. I reordered in a 10 so hopefully it will fit better and more flattering. The dress itself is really pretty but the color is not as really silver which is what I wanted, it’s more of a light taupe, grayish beige color. I did like the subtle beading throughout the dress.

I love this dress--normally wear a "true to size" 6, but followed the advice to size down and it was right on. A similar style from the same company in a 6 with a V-neck was too small at the bustline & shoulders, but this fits perfectly. I was worried the high neckline and sleeves would make it a bit dowdy--in my early 60's and don't need any help there, but it's really flattering. The back is lower (but still above bra line) and the dress is slit up the back, so it feels nicely body-conscious, while the nearly to-the-elbow transparent sleeves hide my upper arms without looking matronly. While the dress has some expected "heft," the silver beads are small, so it's not as heavy as some beaded clothing in this line. The shaping under the bustline also makes for a flattering fit. The gowns made by Pisarro are a welcome relief to those of us who choose not to swathe ourselves in neon-colored spandex. Thank you!
