Cute, but runs large
Followed the size chart for Petal & Pup and the top is 2 sizes too big for me. I'm a size 10 and I'd say this top would best fit a size 14. I read the size chart and also have Petal & Pup linen pants that are size large, which fit as a true size 10 in Madewell, J Crew, Frame, Anthro, etc. Note that the bust and shoulders are the biggest on the shirt, because there's no elastic there. Also, the bow at the bust is decorative only - the neckline/bust is not adjustable. Even the elastic on the wrists was too large. The shirt is even more voluminous with the parts with the elastic rows under the bust and at the top of the peplum. I'd day that the size L for this item is equivalent to a misses size 14 (42" overbust estimate); I had a good 4 inches of space in the bust (and my overbust is 38"). The quality of the fabric is nice.
