Dixon Gingham Cotton Blend Button-Up Maxi Dress

I purchased the small, and it fits well, except it feels a bit constricted in the bust area (32D). There’s some pulling at the buttons in front, as well as at the armholes when I move my arms. I plan to try the medium, and hope it’s not too large across the chest and shoulders. The sleeves are also voluminous, so Idk if sizing up will affect that as well. The only other significant note regarding fit, is that the waist/belt is high. I’m tall and short waisted, and it’s a few inches above my natural waist. I’m not a huge fan of gingham, but really like the cut of the dress and the black/cream combo. It’s a softer look than black and white. Also, the cotton is very lightweight, but a little rough (with a muslin feel). That will probably change with wear and washing. It’s hard to tell if it’s transparent or not, should easily accommodate a slip.
