Alexis High Waist Ankle Barrel Jeans

I haven’t looked so plump and frumpy in a pair of jeans before. I usually wear a 2 or 4 depending on the brand. So I got both the 26 and 27 to try. The photos show sz 27. Barrel jeans should be loose/ wide from the top of you thighs/ hips and slowly tapering to a narrow ankle. THESE are fitted in the hips and upper thigh, get loose a bit at the lower thigh and knees. The front of the crotch sticks out in a very unflattering way. At best, these look like the least stylish mom jeans of the 80’s and completely make my figure look weird. A good barrel jean is much looser and hangs longer so you can either let it gather at your ankles or you can roll them like the baggy jeans of the 80’s. I was so excited to get these and the price was good. I’m just glad I’m able to return them because they went to final sale (at the same price) right after I got mine. Don’t you hate final sale? So if you’re looking for areal barrel jean, these aren’t it.
