Original Penguin

Sportswear brand Original Penguin—and its dapper logo, Pete the Penguin—have represented Americana since 1955. Abbot Pederson, a salesman for the Munsingwear underwear factory in Minneapolis, conceived the Munsingwear golf shirt—a fashion sensation worn by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and suburbanites everywhere. Today's Original Penguin mixes iconic American sportswear with modern-minded style.

Stunning!!!

After visiting local shops for my son’s homecoming, decided to take a chance and order this dinner jacket in green (more so of an emerald color). The fit was magnificent right off the rack! My son is 6’2 and the 44 regular fit like a charm. Superb quality and he received compliments the entire evening. I’m contemplating grabbing a few additional colors to have on standby!

Great quality and fit!

The purple is beautiful! My 6'2 husband tried both purple and blue and kept the purple. Ordering the black now. TTS (42R), is actually fitted and on the thicker (fabric) side. Will be a great holiday/party staple.

Great Piece

It's a black velvet jacket. What else is there to say? While there was a tag on it that said "slim fit," I'd say it's actually true to size. Normally I have to order up a size for slim or modern fit.

Perfect for NYE

I uploaded a picture of my fiancé’s dress she was planning for NYE to ChatGPT and the recommendation and following rabbit hole eventually led me to this jacket. I couldn’t be happier with it. She loves the texture and it looks fantastic on me. Fits perfectly and is well worth the money.

small size

Usually my size is 42 long, but it is too small. Unfortunately I couldn't return it. It says final price

Impulse purchase: NYE "Prince" Themed Dinner

Very comfortable and good looking jacket. Somehow I didn't realize it was "slim cut" when I ordered it, but it fit fine. Good sleeve length.
