Long Sleeve Wool & Cashmere Rib Maxi Dress

I'm 5'10", tried this in medium in charcoal gray. It fits nicely through the body on my size 8-ish hourglass shape. Note that the sleeves are LONG even on me, which means they are very, very long for someon of average height. However, the dress length is more reserved -- the dress looked short on me (a few inches above my ankle) and should be fine on anyone average height. The fabric is soft, thanks to the cashmere. I think the garment will mostly hold it's shape. It's opaque and thick enough that you could hypothetically wear it with ease (won't need the scary body shapers). However, this rib knit, which isn't a traditional 1X1 rib but a variation on it that makes all the front-facing knit stitches look extra wide and bumpy, looks excessively casual to me. If I'm going to the trouble of wearing a cashmere sweater dress, it will be with then intention that I look elegant and refined, not laidback.

Love this dress! I’m petite with a medium build and typically wear a small in dresses. This dress fits me true to size and skims the top of my feet (almost to the floor). I wear a heeled boot with it so the hem doesn’t get dirty. Kept me warm in autumn by itself and with layers in winter weather. Received a ton of compliments. Unfortunately someone stole this dress at the dry cleaners but I love it so much, I’m going to reorder. And I’ll find a new cleaner.
