Brushed Cashmere Sweater

I have another two brushed cashmere tops by Nordtrom in different colors. This sweater has similar good weight cashmere material and is fluffy. However it is itchy! no such issue with the other two though. Need to wear an underlayer with this one. Not sure if it will be better after wash. I still like the weight and fitting of this sweater but have to take at least two stars off due to the itchyness.

I got this item in my regular size XL for room and relaxed fit, in grey and navy. I am sensitive to wool and less so to alpaca, but decided to give this sweater a try since it is 100% cashmere. It is lightweight, but not flimsy, not see through at all, warm and not one bit irritating, for which I am grateful! I would say the fit is relaxed and maybe just a bit oversized, pics reflect this correctly. The sweaters hold well. I already hand-washed the grey one in cool water with mild gentle soap as dry cleaning might not be best for cashmere. The sweater air dried well and did not shrink, maybe just a tiny bit in width; the length of the sleeeves and the sweater itself did not change. The sweaters do come in with a perfumed smell (made in Cambodia and protected as they are shipped, possibly some dye smell residue as well), but after washing, my grey one got even softer, fluffier, and more pleasant to the skin. For the price, these look like a high end item and can be dressed up or down. They sell out as soon as they pop back up (I assume due to returns, as was my navy one, most likely), so I would keep an eye on availability if you are interested. Hope this helps.

Great quality cashmere sweater and slightly thicker texture than other 100% cashmere sweaters, which I like. The sweater does run oversized. I'm a true size small and this is more like a medium. However, I'm going to keep it because I like the fit. The drop shoulder design make it look stylish even though oversized. The sweater was slightly itchy on the arms and I noticed that as soon as I put it on. The brushed cashmere adds an oomph to the sweater elevating it from just every other 100% cashmere sweater. I emphasize the percentage as I've been finding a lot of cashmere sweaters are mixed with polyester, nylon, or other unnatural materials. I gave 4 stars because the sweater is itchy and slightly bigger than expected. But overall, I love this sweater and will be keeping it. I ordered the Navy Night which is a gorgeous color.
