Not for Plus Size body types
Purchased online: I am a 2x and have been looking for something like this that flatters my body shape. This is not it. The fabric has a nice delicate pattern and the fabric is not thin. It's like a fine sweater. Because the fabric has extra weight it makes the garment hang "out" rather than drape closely to the body. That effect is emphasized by the sleeves, which are too long. Also the hemline hits above the knee which has the effect of "bulking up" the garment, instead of making it flowy and drapey. When laid flat this is just a big shapeless square. Therefore, it makes me look like a possum wrapped in a curtain so I will be returning it. It's not for Summer wear in California, it would be more of a casual evening piece. I have kept a different lighter weight one that has gathers in the back waistline and flatters my shape better. It seems like this garment would suit other body types. Removing one star for design/hemline on plus sizes.
