Comfort and looks great with jeans
Love these shoes - stiff but just right. Great color and fabric. I recommend these shoes not necessarily for pickle but for weekend coolness. : )

Decent footware for tennis
I guess this brick red color is now popularized by Gauff US Open win. This is no CG1 though. I feel like the shoes can use a bit more padding on the tongue and the soles. For people who have high arch or wider feet or both, you are pretty limited to your selection which can be a good thing. The 996v5 offers a 2E even the official website fails to be specific, it just says wide as if 2E is too much to put in. As a consume I want to be fastidious about the product. The tongue has rubber band straps on both sides to hold it down to the sole and fortunately they aren't sewn near the top otherwise it would make it hard to put the foot in for high arch and wide foot. The 2E seems sufficiently roomy for me without being too roomy. But again the tongue is weak in padding and so is the insole. Anyway the 996v5 is also marketed as a pickle ball shoes with pickle ball written on the side, and different decal on the heel counter and insole. So I DON'T know if the design is first tennis second pickle ball. Some people don't care but to some it's a big turn off and won't be caught dead wearing a pickle ball shoes playing tennis.
