Love them! I ordered three pairs!

I bought three pairs this time because they can be hard to find. I have worn this model for many years.

Where are the SL-2s?

New Balance used to have many sneakers using the SL-2 last. For some reason, they've reduced the number of sneakers using the SL-2. I've now switched to Topo, and they have a wide toe box and narrow heel. I bought this sneaker because it's an SL-2, but it's pretty ugly so I'm returning it.

Shoes

Shoes are nice but squeek when I walk. Lots of money for squeaky shoes.

Excellent Shoes

I’ve been a NB customer for over 20 years. I’ve recently retired from being a Facility Engineer that ran a 2.5M sq/ft facility. I was on my feet for 40-50 hrs/week and found that these shoes were the best that I’ve ever worn. Excellent support and comfortable. I get a new pair every year as I usually put 600-700 miles on them. One thing that I don’t like is that they don’t sell the hard inserts anymore. The work around is Superfeet. They claim that they were the supplier to NB and work well. Glad to see that they now have white in addition to the original black. Gray would be nice as well. If you’re on your feet as much as I am I think you’ll love these!

Don't like them

My feet hurt after walking a while. Cushion feels thin. I think this is actually the second time I bought this model, I didn't like them the first time either. My last pair doesn't seem to be available anymore. It was a walking shoe with the fuel cell tech. Loved them.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear the cushioning felt too thin and did not provide the comfort and support you were looking for during longer walks. We understand how disappointing it can be when a previous favorite is no longer available, and our Customer Care team is available to help answer questions and discuss other styles that may better meet your needs.

The best pair yet

I've been trying most of their walking shoes, especially the ones with all the cushion, and after the first week, the show starts to lean to the side. But not with these, you can make a corner and not have to worry about your ankle buckling. Definitely getting another pair once these ware out. Only complaint is, they need more colors like their other loud color shoes.

New Balance 928v3

I have been wearing the New Balance 900 series for at least 20 years, after they were recommended by a physical therapist when I had plantar fasciitis. They offer superior support and comfort, and they don’t look like orthopedic shoes. I can easily put my orthopedic arches into them. I have them in white, brown and black, along with a pair of New Balance hiking shoes.

Width is questionable

Width seems small for being the largest width available?
Reposted from New Balance US
New Balance US response
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear the widest width available still felt too narrow and did not provide the fit you expected. We understand how important adequate width is for all-day comfort, and our Customer Care team is available to help with any fit-related questions or concerns.

Excellent walking shoes!

Amazing walking shoes for bunions! I have traditional bunions AND Tailors bunions so double whammy. When I say that it is hard to find shoes, I am not exaggerating. My podiatrist recommended new balance over several other popular brands. I purchased these prior to my trip to Europe. I have averaged over 20,000 steps a day and I have had zero issues. I am so happy with my purchase.
