Lil Insider Flood High Waist Bootcut Jeans

Goodness gracious these run small. I usually wear a 24P in Mother jeans. Ordered a 25P and could barely zip them. Returned that size and ordered the 26P and they were still too small. I returned those and ordered another style of Lil Mothers in my normal 24 P and they fit like a dream!

True to size. They aren’t the new sizings that run a few sizes larger like all clothing in todays day and age. Real 90’s to early Y2K sizing. I LOVE these. I have never found a more perfecting fitting pair of jeans. I always have the hardest time finding clothing that fits and I often have to refer to the children’s section. But not these. I have always cherished Mothers denim but they never carried good petite sizing in the stores. I’m so glad my local Nordstrom (Fashion Square) started adding more petite clothing. I almost gave up on Nordstrom but I’m so glad I gave them another chance and found these! I am 5’1” and generally between 100-105 Ibs and my pant inseam is 26”. I bought the size 26 and they fit perfectly. They kind of fit like the juniors section with a more mature style. Exactly what I need for work. They are high waisted but I sort of wish they were a little higher waisted. In my opinion they are more of like a mid high waist and sit below the belly button. They are also like a stretchy spandex denim and not the hard cotton feeling. They are not super boot cut either. More of like a straight leg with a minor delicate outward flare. I think I finally found my favorite pair of jeans for the first time ever. They’re really expensive but the best investment ever. Love these! So happy that Nordstrom is adding more petite stuff!

I love Mother jeans. Particularly Insiders. I have several pairs of the step hem, and was excited to see a clean hem option for petites. I am a 25 in all other insiders I’ve tried, so that’s what I ordered initially. Felt at least a full size too small, and they definitely were not high rise. Proceeded to order a 26, which did fit in the waist, but still not high rise. Definitely fit more like a midrise. Additionally, while these are floods, not ankle, the length was awkward for me at 5’3. They hit below my ankle, so they’re definitely floods, but don’t read as an intentional/stylish flood. More like accidental flood. If I kept them, I still would’ve needed to get them hemmed.
