too big!
Unfortunately, the dress is unflattering; trying it on would have been wise. The small size fits larger than expected, which is not ideal for a shift dress.

looks better on!
I tried this in the store and it looks much better on! Looks frumpy on this model but didn’t on me. I usually wear a large (size 10-12) and the medium fit well. It is warm but since it’s loose fit still airy so I didn’t get too hot. It is a good weight. I wore to a memorial service with tall, taupe boots and got many compliments on the dress. I don’t know how well it will wear. Before I put it on a noticed a couple small pulled threads on the front. Also looks like it would be subject to pilling.

Good basic sweater dress
It runs big, I usually wear a L/LXL (size 12/14) and I bought the medium. It will look great with boots in the fall and winter!
