Stains ruined shorts after first wear
I bought these shorts at the madewell store because they looked and felt great but then after the first wash there were a bunch of odd stains that made the shorts unwearable — which I was not able to remove with subsequent washes. It looks like everyone else is having the same problem…

Unusual Spots After Only Owning For Less Than A Week
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a pair of the light green pair in-person at a Madewell store on Saturday and initially loved the fit and style. However, it’s only Tuesday and I noticed an unusual, very noticeable bleach-like spot on the front right pant leg. I was wondering how that could’ve possibly happened and then I checked the other reviews online. I wish the store would’ve pulled these from the shelved due to product defects instead of continuing to sell them to those who hadn’t seen the reviews online.

Black shorts have spots
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered the black shorts, and I kept noticing spots on them. I thought I was staining them, but it seems like the spots are showing up after taking them out of the washing machine. I really love these shorts and I was considering buying another pair, but with the color issues I've decided against it.
