Medium Suede Crossbody Bag

Purchased both the Dark Carob and Highland Green. Dark Carob arrived new (with Madewell’s signature care card, moisturizer absorbing pack, and tissue paper padding). The Highland Green, however, in addition to lacking all of that is a previously owned, VERY WELL used and excessively damaged piece which ought to have been damaged out by the over-seeing manager of the department that customer returned it to. The previous owner used the bag so well, it is stretched out of shape, the exterior is entirely covered in pills resembling eraser bits. The pilling is most concentrated at the base, back, and corners, it absolutely reeks of strong perfume, the strap is bent out of shape, the inside bottom of the purse is littered with scratch marks, there are patches of balding on the corners of the bag, scratched off suede, and even imbedded bits of magenta and violet glitter in between the handles and along the zipper. The pilling is excessive, as are the damages and deep scratches and balding. I hope the Dark Carob one I bought for my mom will wear and age better when used. The Highland Green color is a grey-green and reminds me of fresh sage leaves—with their fuzz. Strongly recommend seeing the Highland Green variant in-person before purchase, if possible. The Highland Green purse I received in fulfillment of my order ought to have been damaged-out at the point of return, and taken out of circulation instead of being used to fill a new sales order. The lack of quality control is vey disappointing.
