'Hyacinth' Ankle Strap Sandal (Women)

Purchased these in black. Quality seemed very good and I loved the lower heel. However, when I tried them on, the two side straps on the back buckled out. They do not lay nicely against the ankle as they should. I decided to keep them anyways because it is difficult to find a good looking heel that is under 3 inches. After an hour of wearing them, I noticed that the back upper cup was rubbing terribly on my heel. I was doing very little walking, so I didn't understand why this would be happening. By the time I was able to get to my car and take them off to check, they had rubbed my heels raw. It was extremely painful to walk the rest of the evening and I am still dealing with raw heels 5 days later. The ankle strap fit properly and the sizing was correct so it must be a problem with the heel construction. I have never returned a pair of shoes after wearing them, however, I knew I would never put these on again. Thankfully, Nordstrom was kind enough to accept the return.
