After many trips to the Longchamps section...
...I decided to purchase a Longchamps tote on Nordstrom Rack; this style also has a shoulder strap, so it offers a different option than the traditional Le Pliage. The handles are not long enough to sling over your shoulder, but that was fine with me. And the color is a smile-maker. One suggestion: put your stuff into discrete see-through pouches (make-up; tissues + hand sanitizer; for me, eye drops;). This way, you won't have a pile of things to go through as you're looking for your lipstick!
