I sized down to an XS because I wanted it more fitted. The denim is stretchy so it’s fine. Typically I take a small, but the S felt a bit large and for a bustier, taller person (extra fabric in the back and bust in the wrong spot & too much material ) For reference : 5’5”, 123 lbs, 32C, long arms, broad shoulders. XS just fits over a light sweater. But it’s a nice jacket with a nipped-in waist and pattern to break up the black. (Fabric has a faint smell I’ll wash out before wearing—but most people wouldn’t notice it.)
