Cassianx Slingback Mary Jane Pump (Women)

Love this shoe! Was worried it would be too narrow and tight in toes, but the buckles across the top help with that. I’m a bit disappointed that for a shoe this beautiful the interior is not leather. That is noticeable in the straps and how they feel… a tiny bit stiff and scratchy on the heel and instep. Non leather insoles are usually a deal breaker for my picky feet but this shoe is so chic I will deal it. I usually take 7 in open toe sandals but often 71/2 in closed toe dress shoes and even 8 in boots or athletic shoes when wearing socks. The 7 fit in these. They look like the french brand Sezanne which I have drooled over but haven’t seen in stores in the states.

I bought these as an affordable alternative to the pricey Carels I’d been admiring for years, and I actually like the look of these better. The squared-off toe is exactly what I was going for. The heel height, too, is spot-on. So far, I’ve just worn them to spiff up jeans (kind of my everyday uniform, even for work) but I can see them being perfect with many other outfits as well. One downside is they rub in spots, especially on the inside of the ankle where the slingback strap cuts across, but I’m hoping that will soften with wear. The sole is thin and the lining isn’t leather, but that’s to be expected in this price range. These are a good buy. I got the larger of my two sizes - a 9 - and it was the right choice.
