What it is: A liquid matte lipstick conceptualized and developed by Lime Crime founder Doe Deere.
What it does: Velvetines draws inspiration from Doe Deere's favorite flower—a red, red rose. Doe used to cut out rose petals and paste them onto her lips as a child. Richly pigmented, this French vanilla-infused formula glides on as a liquid and dries down to a luxurious, velvety matte finish that lasts for hours and hours. Touch-proof, kiss-proof and utterly addictive.
How to use: Apply directly to lips. Remove with a waterproof makeup remover or oil.

Long lasting but not smear-proof
This is the oddest liquid lipstick. Love the color and it stays for several hours, but it is not budge-proof. If you don't look in the mirror often, then you could be walking around with red liquid color on your chin or the sides of your lips!

Red Velvet is in My Top 5 Most Gorgeous Reds
I am not sure what made me purchase this product initially, but I am glad I did. I am NC 30-35 with warm yellow undertones and have been loving reds lately. I have dozens of Mac lipsticks, but now Lime Crime Red Velvet is in my top 5. It is gorgeous. The formula goes on wet and shiny, but after a minute it dries to a satin matte. I really like the formula although it's a bit dry. The color is amazing. It lasts for hours even through drinking. When I put Red Hot metallic (Lime Crime) over it and it adds some dimension. If you like YSL reds, you will love this. Pink Velvet is gorgeous also, as is Shroom!
