They actually are low rise
The jeans are great, I unfortunately bought them without trying them on and they are lower than I anticipated. Still super comfortable and definitely wearable, no complaints just something to note..

Surprised!
It’s been awhile since I bought Levi’s. Im pleasantly surprised! I’m usually a 29 waist but I sized up due to the description of low waist. I’m glad I did. They fit perfectly. And they do ride low. I’m 5’6” 170lbs. I picked the 32 inseam and they are perfect with boots.
