A better fit
I purchase the stone wash 501s in size 36x34. I purchased these in size 38x36. I machine washed and dried them, hot water. The fit is perfect. The leg width is a little less slim than the stonewashed, and the rise is about 1/2" longer. They actually fit me better as a result. I do recommend washing, because they WILL SHRINK, particularly in the length, if wet.

My favourite Jeans!
I have always loved 501s, but the shrink-to-fit is a new level of awesome. Break them in and you'll never want to wear anything else. Last pair lasted great but are now worn through. New pair has a lot of life to go experience.

Not sure why their called shrink to fit
bought these as the shrink to fit as I find the regular 501's fit oddly. I dont know why they are named shrink to fit because they did no such thing. I find the waist sits far to high for a mens jean, they seem to be too loose in odd areas and they are far shorter than the 32 length i ordered. They also have a highly tapered leg which i really hate. Typical levis quality is all these pair have going foe them.
