Belted Wool Blend Wrap Coat

I ordered this during the Anniversary sale. I was underwhelmed by this coat. I don’t like the fact that it had no buttons (I probably missed that detail during ordering). It didn’t feel like it would be warm enough and overall, it just wasn’t giving fab, fly and luxe. So, I returned it and have to keep looking.

Luxurious and stylish, this Ralph Lauren coat is great. Love the subtle leather trim. My only issue was that there was no interior button to hold the coat closed - relied solely on the wrap style with a tie belt. Kind of like a bathrobe. Nordstrom alterations took care of that, adding a hidden buttonhole and button, so now it is perfect.

I usually am between a size 4 and 6 but after trying multiple sizes, found that the size 2 was a perfect fit to get the fitted look I wanted without the coat overwhelming my shorter petite frame. It’s an elegant wrap coat with a pretty straight silhouette and it is around a midi length on me. Note that it doesn’t have any button closure, so the tie belt is the only way to keep the coat closed. I loved it so much that I bought it in both colors.

The title says it all. The only structure is in the shoulders, and it just hangs from there. There's a reason you don't see it untied in any of the pictures--because it looks terrible. Also, I'm 5'10", and the sleeves hit above the wrist. Another strike against this one. I expected far more. This is going right back.
