a good work staple with some exceptions
This dress looks great on and fits true to size with the arms running a little tight. It’s a flattering fit, comfortable, and a good length for work; The material is on the thinner side and has some stretch. Wrinkles VERY easily with the belt frustratingly folding.

stunning Color Transition Piece
The red in this dress is just stunning. I am 5’5” and the dress comes just to my knees. My waist is between 29-30” and I find the size 10 fits well with a little bit of wiggle room. The waist tie gives definition and a bit of classic detail. I’m able to put my arms out and drive without a tight pull in the back of the dress. And the sleeves are just the perfect length to hide the parts of my arm. I don’t always want to show. To me, the dress fits just perfect. I am choosing to dry clean it for a variety of reasons. I’ve worn it with my Vionic slingback flat, cognac, sandals and the Paul Green blk Billy crinkled patent loafers, and they would also look great with the Paul Green Hadley sneakers. The point is the stress is quite versatile. I’m wearing it now and I plan to wear it through the fall here in the California Bay Area weather. The stress is a classic staple piece.

Pretty color, Poor fit and fabric
The tan color is lovely, but that’s about it. The fit is strange. It's loose and shapeless in the body with no waist definition, but tight in the shoulders, arms, and chest. I’m 5’9” and it falls past my knees, even though it looks shorter on the model. For a Ralph Lauren piece, I expected better fabric quality. The cotton blend feels stiff and not breathable. Disappointing overall.

Runs long
I can wear a 4 or a 6. I got this in a 6 in red as part of anniver sale. It is very roomy in the waist and tighter in the arms. I am 5' 4" and it is well below my knees. I am planning to get it hemmed and the waist taken in. For Lauren brand the fabric is a little underwhelming. This will need steamed before each wear. The red is a great color.
