V-Neck Cover-Up Tunic Dress

This civet up is everything! Wanted L/S & stylish coverage for nice beachfront restaurant to chilly hotel lobby, hard to find one that wasn’t open in front to the waist or completely sheer fabric or dragging the floor! This is chic and soft, got both rich black and navy, fit TTS, wish it came in hot pink, yellow, and red I would buy all colors!

I was looking for a navy swimsuit cover-up with long sleeves, and I wanted to love everything about this one. But there were problems. First of all, it runs really small. Unless you are looking for something fitted to your body, you should size up when ordering. I wanted something kind of loose to slip on over my swimsuit. I am 5'7" and a size 2. I typically wear an XS or a S. I ordered a small. It was fitted and clingy, so I had to size up to a medium. Another issue is that the side pockets created an odd, unflattering bulge on both sides. It really looked terrible--like big bulgy lumps on my hips. I am not sure why the pockets hang like that, but they do. And the third issue was that the sleeves were very long for me. If you are 2 or 3 inches taller than I am, the sleeve length would probably be great for you. Despite these issues, I decided to keep this cover-up (the medium) and just have the pockets removed and the sleeves shortened. The redeeming quality of this cover-up is that the fabric itself is incredibly soft and a beautiful deep shade of blue. So it was worth it to me to have it altered. But it was all kind of a hassle.
