Kelli Lace Sleeveless Maxi Dress

If you’re familiar with the “skater dresses” we millennials used to wear to skate parks, just think of that, but dressed up a little and more grown up. Totally meant as a sneaker dress and I absolutely LOVE it. I happen to be a textile snob too, so I love that it’s neither polyester or a polyester blend (hence the fabric). I bought mine for Yom Kippur, but plan on wearing it a few times throughout the year too. It’s more delicate than anything made with synthetic fibers, but I didn’t find it more sheer than a usual white dress, or half of the Ralph Lauren ones out there. Oh and I’m 5’8” and it’s almost full length on me, partially because they didn’t have many left at the store, and I had to unfortunately size up with what they had. My measurements are a 32C, 24-25 waist, 27 hip (which is my jean size in Paige jeans), and I got a size 2. The 00 may’ve fit better, but the looser fit just adds to the skater vibe in my opinion, and would give a bit extra room if I were to choose to wear a silk white slip IMHO. The straps are the only alteration I had to make as they ran a little long.

I normally wear an 8 and sized up based on measurements on the item. It still was too tight and the strap length way too long so they kept falling off. On top of that, it was completely see through in light, it’s lined but both the exterior and interior longing are so sheer with daylight you can see through it and nude undergarments are still visible. Coat is too high for the quality and adjustments needed to it, even on sale.
