Floral Print Mock Neck Dress

I really wanted to love this dress but the fit was off for me and the structure left something to be desired. The dress is cut quite straight through the waist and hip, resulting in a fit that was snug in the hips, but loose at the waist. There was no way to get the waist to stay where it should to create the “blousy” top. Had they perhaps used the liner to anchor the waist higher while keeping the outer fabric loose, it would have been perfect, but as it is, it pulls down from the weight of the dress and made me look very square. I’m only deducting one star because it is a beautiful dress with lovely material, and would likely look wonderful on others, it just didn’t flatter me, but that’s likely more to do with my body type than the dress.

A dress that I have loved for a long time. When I noticed that my size was available one day, I bought it with no hesitation, even though I had to pay for the shipping charge. However, after a few days’ waiting, when I excitedly opened my package and checked my new dress, I found that there were several snags on the satin material, and there was a strong fragrance on it; what confused me most was that there were no tags on the dress. This made me suspect that this was a product that might have been used, not just tried on. Anyway, nice dress and material.

I had been eyeing this dress since it was on Anniversary Sale price, but couldn’t decide if I could pull off the color and the high collar. I tried it on as soon as it was delivered, and fell in love with it. The floral is very muted, and the fabric feels so soft and silky. The dress hits me quite a bit longer than it does in the online photos, which I really like. I think I might try to style this dress with some suede boots next time I wear it.
