Welch Chukka Boot (Men)

My husband is always a size 12, always. Oddly these were massive! Beautiful shoes but way too big. They also made a very strange noise when I walked, possibly because they looked like clown shoes on him. Nordstroms didn’t have a smaller size, so we returned and found them for sale at Target of all places!!!! We’ll see if an 11.5 fits and doesn’t sound strange while walking. As someone else mentioned, the front of the shoe is very pronounced, it did make his foot look much larger than it is. He is 6ft, muscular, yet it did look a bit odd in his Lulu ABC “dress” pants. We will see how the smaller size with a dressier pant looks. Again, absolutely beautiful, look well made, but ill sized and strange sounding.

These will be excellent boots for some people. Good quality leather, true to size, comfortable out of the box. The sole looks and feels like it's injection-molded, so it's hard to predict the durability. The country of manufacture is Brazil. The style, however, is very assertive. These are large, and look much more elongated in person than in photos. As a result, they will make your feet look quite big. I have a larger-than-average shoe size (10) for my height (5'7"), so they looked enormous on me, bordering on clownish, prompting me to return them. But for a tall gentleman with smaller-than-average feet, these would be lovely.
