Debonair 21-Inch Softside Carry-On Luggage

What a waste. I’ll be returning it this afternoon. I have a bad back and was going on a short trip without my husband who normally helps me with heavy items. I bought this because it was light and small enough to fit in the overhead compartment. I packed this bag and a backpack. When I got out of the car and went to put my backpack over the handle it wouldn’t fit. It made for a very uncomfortable trip through Security, to the gate, on the plane, off the pane, to my pickup, then to the hotel, and to my room. I had to balance a heavy backpack on the carryon with no way to stabilize it. As I sat waiting for my plane I looked around at other carryon handles and they were all much smaller. I decided to make things easier on the return trip and pack the carryon heavier and make my backpack lighter. The carryon is supposed to be expandable by unzipping. Oddly, the zipper only goes part of the way around so it ends up being lopsided. I’m not sure if this is what caused it to constantly tip over. I now had to balance my backpack on a cumbersome lopsided carryon that kept tipping over. When I got home I tried fitting other personal item trolley sleeves over the handle and none fit. While this poorly designed bag didn’t ruin my trip, it did make getting too and from my destination very difficult. Very very difficult. While this bag was nowhere near as expensive as my Briggs & Riley (that I love), it was wildly overpriced for such a poorly designed product. I can’t imagine the company that makes these has any idea about travel. It’s like they just decided to make a carryon by copying pictures of other bags they saw on the internet but without consulting anyone who has ever traveled before. Seriously one of the worst items I’ve ever purchased in my long life. This product should only be given away and not sold, and even then, it would be difficult to appreciate it. It could only benefit someone who doesn’t have a personal item and who doesn’t need to stand it up while they use the restroom or go through their purse or wallet for ID. You have to hold it up or prop it against something if you can’t hold onto it.
