Faux Suede A-Line Midi Skirt

First things first: very nice quality and overall look for the price. It's a great fall piece in a classic style, and the faux suede adds some texture. The fit? I am hourglass shaped and size 6: *usually* a size medium, occasionally a size small. I regard it with a healthy dose of skepticism when a brand's size chart says that pants/skirts are size S/4-6. I tried this skirt first in size M, and it was absolutely huge on me, from the waist to the hips. This time, they are telling the truth!

This skirt is amazing! I am 5 feet 5 inches and 105 pounds. I wear size 0 and size 2. I got this in a large because I’m kind of tall and I’m wearing it low rise on my hips with a crop top. My hips are 33 inches. It is still a perfect midi length on me but I do have longer legs. Low-rise takes this boring skirt to hot, hot, hot. Get it! The waistband measures about 32.5-33 inches. Great winter option with boots and a sweater.

I ordered an XL based on the info that this brand runs true to size. Should have followed my instincts. The waist is not even close to the measurement given in the size chart. I very carefully measured the waistband of the XL I received and it is 39" around. There is even a decent amount of given on top of that. The size chart says XL is for waists measuring between 34-35.5. So, I'll be returning it for a size Large as soon as I can make it to the store. Don't want to pay $9.95 both to return and reorder. Note! I wish the garment industry would go the extra step to provide credible sizing information. VERY frustrating. I hope this helps someone. The skirt is worth having if you get the right size.
