Autry Leather Satchel

I saw this bag, from across the store. I could tell it was from my favorite bag designer HOBO. I walked over & picked it up. It was beautiful, shiny & smooth. it was the perfect size, & shape, had a zipper across the top. There was no weird zipper pocket separating the inside of the purse It also had that beautiful perfumed leather scent I've come to know and love with HOBO bags. I checked the price, a bit much for such a small bag but whatever, I was in love. I slid the strap up my arm to my shoulder as I would wear it as a shoulder bag. It didn't fit. No I am not skinny and yes it was attached to security tether so I could not really tell. I brought my sister over to appreciate the beautiful bag I had found. I shared my concern about the strap length. She pulled the tether out farther so I could really see how it would fit. NOPE. I sat and looked at this gorgeous almost perfect bag. In the end I had to walk away. If I cannot carry it the way I would like, it won't work out. WHY, WHY, WHY would they make it such an awkward length? I am purse and bag obsessed. This will irritate me for a while, even if I find a knock off with decent length straps. Nine to ten inches from the top of the bag is usually perfect shoulder strap length. I've waited thirty years for bag designers to start making bags in the shape and size that is my favorite. Ya'll finally come back around to it and this happens. I am so disappointed.
