Love this jacket. Truly waterproof, not overly warm but a great daily or hiking rain jacket. Ample hood covers head and neck. Velcro at cuffs to tighten if needed. No complaints. And love the pattern.

The jacket works with a t-shirt under it, but otherwise too small. I bought the size I always do from Columbia - and didn't see that it ran small in the reviews. Size up - I wish I had. Difficult to comment on the other factors when I won't be able to wear it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took this jacket to Europe for three weeks and put it through what I can only describe as a comprehensive stress test — part outdoor adventure, part meteorological experiment, part accidental beverage research. Giants Causeway in sideways rain? Handled it. Belfast streets at a brisk “I have no idea where I’m going” pace? No problem. Scottish Highlands with wind that has opinions? This jacket had opinions right back. But here’s where it gets interesting. Between the actual hiking, I also subjected it to the rigorous conditions of an outdoor beer festival and — because Scotland — a gin festival. Multiple spills. Wiped it off. Looked fine. I honestly can’t say the same for myself. The packing situation is equally impressive. Under an airplane seat. Stuffed in a backpack. Tied around my waist like I was 14 years old at an amusement park. It just… didn’t care. Pulled it out every time ready to wear, no wrinkles, no drama. Zero complaints — unlike my cheap carry-on bag. The zipper deserves its own paragraph. When those Atlantic squalls come in fast (and they come in fast), you don’t have time for a zipper that requires negotiation. This one zips like it means it. One motion, done, dry. Pockets are genuinely large. Large enough that I became the group’s unofficial sherpa for wallets, extra layers, snacks, and — I’m not saying what else — things that matter. Perfect medium weight. Not too hot, not too light. Just relentlessly useful. Buy it. Take it hiking, or to Scotland. Don’t worry about the gin.

Love this rain jacket! I wanted something with a little more "personality" than my previous basic black rain jacket, but that wasn't too heavy (so it would be easy to pack). This definitely fits the bill. I ordered in the Dark Stone Snowflight color (which might not be available now). It's a lovely off-white/cream color, with a muted print. Just enough to be interesting, but subtle enough to be able to wear with many things. The fit is good, but not a lot of extra room in the mid-section, and the sleeves are a bit long on me (I'm short), but the adjustable velcro straps ensure they don't fall over my hands. I'm very happy with this jacket.
