Harness Square Toe Boot (Women)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After I was able to remove an ink mark from one of the boots in this pair I was pleased. At first I was heartbroken because the ink spot was very obvious and I had just opened the box and found it that way. But I was able to remove it safely and now I don’t see the spot. This is a beautiful boot and that’s why I invest in Frye boots. Awesome.

Comparing to my other fryes these have a very softer leather shaft. I think in time they would look slouchy. It’s beautiful but I’d prefer a stiffer leather. The heel height is great. Not too tall. But my heels flop in them when I’m walking. Clunky walking. The fit on me is big in the heel. Due to that I have to return this pair.

I’m a cross between a 7 and 7.5. I got the 7.5 but they were so big my heel was flopping around when I walked. I wanted a pink cowboy boot but these were not it for me. They are a little too cowboy’ish for the pink to work. It was like a tomboy wearing a bow. These would have been better in a brown or black. I did give them four stars because the quality is the expected Frye quality…super soft. They are more of a suede than classic leather. Unfortunately, these will be going back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my first pair of Frye Harness 12R’s back in 2011. I’ve worked with horses on a farm for most of my life and after 13 long years, my first pair finally gave out (the sole broke after many years of wear). I will be getting them re-soled, as the leather and boot itself, has remained in good condition. I just purchased a new pair of them, as I love them so much. Not only for comfortability but for longevity, as well. I recommend these boots to anyone who asks. Best I’ve came across in 30 years!
